Today I got to check out the ADC/GDC Next conference. I got a free Expo pass from the LA Unity 3D meet-up group.

Although I didn’t have access to most of the talks since I only had an Expo pass, I did get a free pass to one talk. The talk I went to ended up not being super useful for me (it was more about marketing and business), but it was still interesting. I also attended some of the talks on the Expo floor, like the Best In Apps contest. William Shatner was there!

The rest of the day I spent wandering around the Expo floor checking out new products, talking to people, and getting free stuff. I was super excited to see Hot Wheels Power Port on the augmented reality demo reel at Qualcomm’s booth!

I got tons of swag! My favorite was a fox stuffed animal from AppLift. Besides that I got t-shirts, sunglasses, keychains, a car charger, an international power adapter, stickers, stress balls, M&Ms, an airplane you build yourself, legos, a water bottle…

It was a pretty fun conference. Hopefully next year I can get a full pass and attend all of the sessions.
